Doctor Uribasterra, also affectionately known as “Dr. Pablo” by his patients and staff, was born in New York City and raised in South Florida. He attended Tulane University for his undergraduate education and graduated with Honors from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1994. Dr. Pablo pursued his post-graduate education through Residency at Magee Women’s Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, graduating in 1998 as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He returned to his hometown of South Florida that same year, where he entered private practice and has been caring for his community ever since. He is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and an active member of the Memorial Hospital Miramar staff. He has served as Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hospital Miramar, and is currently a Board Member of the Medical Executive Committee. He enjoys Obstetrics and also specializes in minimally invasive procedures, as well as vaginal and robotic surgery with the DaVinci system. Doctor Pablo has been recognized as one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors for the last 5 years running, a distinction held by only 1% of the nation’s physicians. He has also been honored with the Patient’s Choice Award for the last 5 consecutive years. He is happily married to Ana Estorino-Uribasterra, our in-house International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and has three wonderful children. If you don’t see him in the office, he is most likely fishing.
